The other occupant was being questioned Tuesday.

Zwilling says the officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution but was released. He was not seriously injured.

Minnetonka Boulevard was closed Tuesday morning while officials continued their investigation between the areas of from Raleigh Avenue South to Highway 100.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting.

Polling stations at the nearby St. Louis Park City Hall will remain open Tuesday for election day.
